The Kansas Dept. of Revenue has allowed a Wellington business to reopen after it was seized by the state Tuesday regarding a tax issue.
Agents seized the assets of four locations of Vision Doctors LLC. The company owed nearly $230,000 in state withholding, sales, consumer compensating use and individual income taxes.
KAKE news reports the business was allowed to reopen on Wednesday after owner Michael D. Gordon submitted missing tax returns for the business periods on the warrants.
The offices seized were ones owned by Gordon in Wellington, Wichita, Derby and Goddard.
State officials made the seizure because the company owed nearly $230,000 in state.
