Remains Thought to be Human Are Found Northwest of Winfield
Two tree trimmers Monday afternoon uncovered what are believed to be human skeletal remains in an area northwest of Winfield, according to Cowley County Sheriff Don Read.
The discovery was made just before 3 p.m. in a tree row on a private access road south of 146th Rd.
