On November 28, 2012, Winfield Police Officers responded to a report of a possible disturbance at 1623 Broadway. Upon investigation, evidence was obtained leading officers to believe marijuana was located within the residence.
A Search Warrant was obtained through the District Court. Upon execution of the warrant, a sizable amount of suspected marijuana, along with evidence of drug sales, including a substantial cash seizure and drug use paraphernalia was seized from the residence.
Mr. Dowvie Vorasane, a 24 year old Winfield man was arrested and booked into the County Jail for the following charges, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Sale Paraphernalia, Possession of Drug Sale Proceeds, No Drug Tax Stamp and Possession of Drug Use Paraphernalia.
Additional persons may be charged in connection with this incident.
