Soroptimists Offer Women's Opportunity Award

Women who serve as the primary wage earners for their families and seek financial assistance to go back to school can now obtain applications for the Women’s Opportunity Awards. 

The award can be used for tuition, books, childcare, carfare or any other education-related expense. The Arkansas City club will provide a $1,500 cash grant to its award recipient. 

Applications are available by contacting Sarah Griggs at (620) 441-7442 or sgriggs@pmma.org. Completed applications must be returned to Soroptimist International of Arkansas City by December 15.
 
Soroptimist International of Arkansas City is a volunteer organization for business and professional women dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Founded in 1947, the Arkansas City club is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas where almost 100,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based projects that benefit women.
