New Release
City crews will pick up non-household trash and debris during “Fall Cleanup Week”, Monday, October 15, through Friday, October 19. The cleanup service will coincide with the regular refuse collection schedule Monday through Friday.
Items suitable for pickup must be bundled, boxed, bagged, or tied, and must not exceed 50 pounds in weight.
Brush and tree trimmings are to be boxed or securely tied in bundles not exceeding four (4) feet in length and not weighing over fifty (50) pounds.
- Leaves or other loose debris must be bagged or boxed. We are not equipped to pickup loose materials.
- The customer will be allowed to load loose materials if he is there when the collection crew arrives.
- Old appliances and furniture will be picked up in reasonable quantities
- Place household garbage and trash in your normal container pickup location by 6:00 a.m.
- Please do not place cleanup debris or trash in the gutter or in the ditch.
- Trash containers you wish to dispose of need to be tagged or smashed.
Items which cannot be accepted for pickup by the City crews are:
1. Loose leaves, brush, or tree trimmings.
2. Construction, remodeling, or roofing material.
3. Concrete blocks, rocks, or dirt.
4. Quantities of iron, sheet metal, and/or wire.
5. Vehicles or car bodies and mechanical parts.
6. TIRES IN ANY QUANTITY. (Check with your tire dealer about disposal)
(Tree trimmings and brush will be accepted at the City “F” Street Disposal Site during the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Site Location: Vine Street on the east side of “F” Street.)
During cleanup week, only one trip will be made in your area, on your regular refuse collection day. SORRY, NO RETURN TRIPS will be made due to our tight collection schedule.
