A local Ark City man was arrested yesterday when a Ponca City woman came forward to the Ark City Police Department saying she was sexually assaulted, physically beaten, and was not allowed to leave during the assault.
The incident was having said to occurred on September 3rd, 2012, outside an Arkansas City residence and the suspect was the woman’s ex-boyfriend, Beldenson Absalon Castanon-Barrios, according to Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace.
Castanon-Barrios was interviewed and arrested for Rape, Aggravated Battery, and Criminal Restraint. He was transported to the Cowley County Jail on a $13,500.00 bond.
