The Board of Directors of the Cowley County Crime Stoppers Inc. has approved the following for Crime of the Month for September, 2012.
At or just before 6:40am on July 29th, 2012 a hay barn and its contents of more than 2000 bales of alfalfa located in the 15000 block of 296th road near Silverdale in Cowley County Kansas were intentionally set on fire and burned to the ground. Loss was in excess of $300,000.
The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone who may have information about this crime.
Cowley County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this crime.
