The BBB is receiving phone calls from consumers about various types of free travel opportunities.
One opportunity is a post card offering a free cruise, consumers are asked to attend a Market Study event at the Holiday in East in Wichita, KS where they are asked to watch a video on various products. If you choose to attend be aware that the consumer is still responsible for travel to their departing port which ever port they leave from and the taxes on the trip. The post card does have the Carnival Cruise Line logo but they are not a sponsor or affiliated with the promotion.
The second travel opportunity comes in the form of free airline tickets. Again the consumer is asked to sit through an information tour of Universal Travel Deals travel agency which refers to itself as a wholesale travel agency when we called the number on the award notification. The company website www.universaltraveldeals.com has a phone number but it is currently not in service. We cannot confirm the actual location of the company. If a consumer chooses to participate they will be responsible for the taxes and any additional travel expense.
