New Proposed Cowley Co. Budget Includes 2 New Deputies

The proposed 2013 budget for Cowley County has 2 new job positions, and those positions are Sheriff Deputies.
Jeremy Willmoth, County Administrator, added these positions to the budget because he believes that the Sheriff Department has been understaffed for quite a while.
Willmoth believes by adding to the staffing, even with just two positions, can lend relieve to a department that has been overburdened.
“By providing a few more personnel will add more people on the street and also provide a vacation/sick relief when we need it,” Willmoth said.
Willmoth also said while it cost a little more money, he thinks it is important to maintain safety in all of the communities with the county.
