Ark City Man Arrested For Breaking & Entering and Possession

An Ark City man was arrested Saturday, July 7, after breaking into his former girlfriend’s residence.
According to the Arkansas City Police Department, around 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening, police were called to the 200 block of west Jefferson Ave for the report of burglary.
Police were granted access to enter the home by the resident, whom was out of town, but gave permission to police and landlord.
When the officers entered the home, they found William “Sonny” Engleking, 43, hiding under a bed in the front room. He was arrested and taken to the police department.
Police say while booking Engleking, he allegedly had methamphetamine on him and Paraphernalia.
Engleking could be charged with criminal trespass, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He also had outside warrants for his arrest.
