Two Arrested In Ark City For Forgery Charges In Two States

Nineteen people and businesses may have fallen victim to forgery in both Kansas and Oklahoma.

Ark City Officers were dispatched to Country Mart on Thursday for a report of a female individual who had attempted to pass a fake check.

Officers learned that this female was last seen south on Summit inside a Red Tahoe.  The suspect vehicle was located in the parking lot of Dillon’s.  A male subject identified as Lendon Saylor, 33, of Oklahoma was located in the passenger seat of the vehicle. 

The female suspect was located inside Dillon’s, she is identified as Brooke Bradley, 33, also of Oklahoma. Through the course of the investigation officers were able to recover numerous counterfeit checks in which were connected to Bradley. 

Bradley and Saylor were arrested for Forgery and transported to the Arkansas City Police Department.  A search warrant was executed on luggage belonging to Bradley and property that belonged to Saylor.  Inside the baggage Officers located stolen property and drug paraphernalia.  At total of 19 victims of forgery and theft in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Brooke Bradley was arrested for Forgery, 19 counts of Possession of Stolen property and possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Lendon Saylor was arrested for Forgery, and 17 counts of Possession of Stolen Property. Both are currently being held at the Cowley County Jail.
