KDOC Continues To Search For Missing Inmate

The search continues for 52-year-old Robert Cook, an inmate who escaped from the Winfield Correctional Facility on Saturday, June 16th.

Cook and inmate 48-year-old Frank Crutchfield, who was captured Wednesday morning at a residence in Wichita, are believed to have stolen a City of Douglass vehicle described as a dark blue 2006 GMC Sierra with a Kansas license tag of 74914.

The truck also has a City of Douglass logo on a door on each side of the vehicle and a photo of that logo is attached to this email. The truck also has a brush guard on the front, yellow caution lights on top, and two side mounted tool boxes in the rear.

Cook is described as 5’10” tall, weighing about 225 pounds, with gray hair, a gray beard and hazel eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts or the missing vehicle is encouraged to contact law enforcement or to call 911.
