On Saturday, June 16, 2012, two offenders were identified as missing from the Winfield Correctional Facility (WCF) and they remain at large.
Robert Cook, 52, and Frank Crutchfield, 48, left the facility in a state owner vehicle described as a white 1984 Chevy one ton box truck.
Officials at WCF have confirmed that the truck was found at approximately 7:30a.m. Sunday morning northeast of Rock, which is about 15 miles north of Winfield.
The truck had sustained a blowout and was abandoned and has been returned to WCF.
Officials also say that a City of Douglass truck was stolen sometime between noon Saturday and 7:30a.m. Sunday morning, and that there is a strong possibility that the two inmates may have been involved in that theft.
The Douglass vehicle is described as a dark blue 2006 GMC Sierra with a Kansas license tag of 74914. The truck also has "City of Douglass" on a door on each side, a brush guard on the front, yellow caution lights on top, and two side mounted tool boxes in the rear.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two individuals or the vehicle is encouraged to contact law enforcement officials or by calling 911.

Local authorities are looking for two Winfield Correctional Facility inmates said to have escaped Saturday afternoon.
Robert Cook was last seen about 1:35 p.m. driving a white truck with Kansas government tag 3558. The truck reportedly used for kitchen work at the prison.
Cook is currently serving time on a conviction in Pratt County for indecent solicitation of a child.
Cook was wearing a white t-shirt with a denim overshirt and denim pants and a red hat. He is a white male with gray hair and facial hair. He was last seen in the area of Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.
Police are also looking for a second inmate who is missing from the prison. Frank Crutchfield is a white male weighing approximately 230 pound and 5 feet 11 inches tall. He has long red hair in a pony tail and was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt.
