The Ark City Police Department says another person has come forward, saying Noble “Rick” Pendland III sexually abused him, making him the 6th possible victim.
According to Ark City Police Chief Sean Wallace, on Monday, another juvenile male reported to police that he was sexually assaulted by 46-year-old Pendland in 2010.
They say the abuse occurred when he was living with Pendland.
Pendland, a former middle school teacher, is accused of molesting at least two other boys, both of whom were under the age of 14 at the time the incidents are said to have occurred, back in 2010.
Three other juveniles have also accused Pendland of abuse, but details about those cases have not been made public.
Wallace says the new case will be forwarded to the Cowley County Attorney.
Current charges against him include 3 counts of aggravated criminal sodomy and 5 counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child
Pendland has remained the Cowley County Jail since September. His bond has gone up from $200,000 to $335,000.
